Oval, ovalfireproducts.com (the “Site”), and its subsidiaries (collectively “Oval”) are committed to protecting the privacy of the companies and individuals that register with and use our website and services. Oval values privacy and is focused on protecting users’ and companies’ data from unauthorized access/use.
This Privacy Policy explains Oval’s collection, use, and disclosure practices surrounding information we automatically collect when you visit our website (www.ovalfireproducts.com), and information you provide to us as explained in further detail below. By using Oval’s website, attending Oval events (virtual or in person), and/or receiving Oval marketing communications, you are consenting to the collection, processing, storage, transfer, disclosure, and other uses of your information as described in this following Privacy Policy.

Oval will not share your information with third parties, except for third-party vendors and service providers that work with Oval. In those cases, Oval will only share personal information to vendors and service providers to help Oval provide a product or service to you.
Third parties may include our subsidiaries and affiliate companies, Consumer Relationship Managements (CRMs), marketing automation providers, invoicing suppliers, call center operators, shippers, services, information processors, financial institutions, data appending services, surge scoring companies, and professional advisors. These third parties only have access to personal information needed for them to complete their services.
In some situations, Oval may be required to share your data to 1) assist government enforcement agencies; 2) investigate and defend Oval against third-party claims or allegations; and/or 3) protect Oval’s or others’ rights, properties, or personal safety, provided that doing so does not outweigh your personal rights. If Oval is forced to make these additional disclosures, reasonable efforts will always be used to give you prior notice of the disclosure.

Oval has adopted reasonable procedures (technical, administrative, and physical) to safeguard your personal data. However, we cannot guarantee or warrant that information transmissions are secure given the nature of digital communications.
Personal data given to Oval is only kept for as long as it is reasonably necessary for the original purpose for which it was collected, taking into account Oval’s need to 1) meet contractual obligations, 2) address customer service/warranty issues, 3) comply with legal and regulatory requirements, and 4) provide new/improve products/services to users. Therefore, Oval may retain personal data for some period of time after an individual’s use of the Site/Services conclude; after that point, personal data will be deleted from Oval’s systems without notice.

As of May 25, 2018, EU-based individuals have the right to file a complaint with their local data supervisory authority. They also have certain rights which they may exercise free of charge, including the right to:

- Require the correction of any mistakes in their information;

As of January 1, 2020, for California residents, the CCPA offers important rights which they may exercise, including the right to:
- Request information regarding policies governing disclosure of personal information to third parties for their direct marketing purposes;
- Request that their personal information not be sold;
- Annually request and receive personal data that Oval shared with other businesses, if any, within the past calendar year (defined by California’s “Shine the Light” law); and
- To request the removal of any content (“User Content”) created and publicly posted on a website (for California residents under the age of 18).
Oval will make a good-faith effort to delete User Content from public view as soon as reasonably practicable. However, please note that a request to delete User Contact does not ensure complete or comprehensive removal of User Contact, as it may remain on backup media, be cached or otherwise retained by Oval for administrative or legal purposes, ore remain publicly available if you or someone else has forwarded or reposted it on another website or service prior to its deletion. Additionally, Oval may be required by law to not remove (or allow removal) of your User Content.

To request information that Oval shared with other businesses, if any, please email info@ovalfireproducts.com with the subject line “CA Shine the Light Privacy Request” in the subject line and the specific request in the body of the email. California residents who exercise their CCPA rights are protected from discrimination.

Oval complies with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act of 1998 (COPPA), GDPR, and CCPA. For this reason, Oval does not knowingly collect or maintain any information via the website from persons under the age of sixteen (16), and no part of the Site is directed to persons under the age of sixteen (16). If an underage person provides information and Oval has unknowingly collected said information, it will take the appropriate steps to delete this information immediately upon discovery. Per the CCPA, Oval does not sell data of individuals under the age of sixteen (16) without prior authorization.

If Oval changes this privacy policy, those changes will be posted on its Site and in any other places deemed appropriate so that you are aware of the information that Oval collects, uses, and discloses.
